    Hi everyone,

We have just released new installers for all DeckLink cards for Windows XP and Mac OS X. Both are available now from the Blackmagic website.

We do recommend everyone upgrade to these releases.

    Cheers,

    Regards,

    Matt

Just for clarity, does this include Vegas users – now on the same drivers as PPro..??

    Thanks

    Hi Mike,

Sorry, it does not. The Vegas guys would need to do an update of the app to achieve this. I did ping the Vegas guys today to see if there are plans to do this and if we can help speed that up in any way.

    Cheers,

    Regards,

    Hi,

It seems that there still are a lot of problems. when i edit in dv 4 x 3 the image on the monitor output is diagonally divided when not playing the timeline!

The preset for 16 x 9 dv seems to be gone?? When i edit the settings manually to 16 x 9 and preview a area where a dissolve is present and rendered the image on the preview monitor scales down to 75%

    Try it!

should PPRo 1.5 users install these drivers too, or just for PPro 2?

    Thanks

    Hi – just had a further thought….

These new drivers, in conjunction with the new production bundle, will they give proper outputs from within Encore?

In the older version of the Adobe software and your previous drivers, even though your website says Encore was supported, I could never make it work, in any of the ways that works for other apps.

I ask because Matrox have stated they are dropping support for Encore 2 with their RTX.100 cards (yes I’m a freak with both a matrox and decklink card running in the same machine). With further investigation of the new Adobe stuff, I can see why Matrox have pulled that support – as encore now shares the same video rendering type of tech as AFX and PPro – it would just struggle to do anythig in realtime.

However, with Encore sharing the above mentioned video tech, it would make sense that the Decklink cards can pick this ‘responsibility’ ….

    Whaddya say, eh guys?!?!?!

    Thanks
