I know this is an old post, but I’m having trouble getting audio even hooked up properly between my IO la and my Mackie 1202. How do you route audio properly? I’m trying to capture clips from a DVD player. I can get video but no audio. Where does my RCA audio out from the DVD player go? And where do the XLR cables go to create the loop with the IO la box? Which buttons should be depressed on the mixer? Tape?
I had no problem with our Intensity Pro card and would use that but someone else has it on there machine now. Any thoughts? Am pretty familiar with FCS 2 but when it comes to set up & routing of audio and video I’m just beginning.

First off, thanks for everyone’s posts. Secondly, was just curious about the adapter thing because I’ve read some threads where people were having issues with the mini display port dumping the digital signal and only outputting analog.
I’m just being overly cautious and want to make sure I have it all worked out before we put our money into it. Making sure of no quality loss or anything like that.
Thanks again.

Yeah, thanks Mark. Do you know if miniDisplay to DVI adapters will work for running dual displays?

Great thanks. Was not aware of it being used mainly for 3D apps. Thats cool. Thanks for the info. As others have told me, the 4870 sounds like the way to go.
However, one last question, with the 4870 only having 1 dual-link DVI port and me running two Eizo displays via DVI connections, are there miniDisplay to DVI adapters that will work with my monitors and allow for an expanded desktop?

Thanks all for your help. I’m leaning towards lite panel. Unless by the graces from above we get more money for better lights. appreciate it.

Sorry about that. Maybe I was in the wrong forums cause all i was finding was about lighting kits vs. actual on-camera lighting. Thanks for your response. The lite panel one seems to be pretty popular. Appreciate the help.

Russ, thanks man. Appreciate you taking the time to share an example. This will work beautifully. I started playing around with EQ settings myself and just couldn’t get it right. I don’t know enough about audio just yet. Thanks for the screen shots too. They’ll be handy.

I have a Ciprico Media Vault 5 drive setup and configured as RAID 0. Connected via fiber channel. I’ve been digging around and found others having the same problem and with unanswered posts. Link to thread here:

I’ll try the prefs and permissions thing now.

I’ve just had a similar issue myself but with an HD sequence. Audio plays fine out of right channel but left channel is in like slow-mo or something. Also, about every other time I play the sequence it starts out echoing and delayed. I created an SD sequence and everything worked fine. I can’t figure this one out either.
