Wait… Are you trying to say that Apple wrote his blog post for him? That makes no sense whatsoever…or are you just talking about one or two particular statements on the blog? Still, I doubt it.

Is that not what all PR is…structuring the data and facts etc as you want them to appear which is not necessarily how they actually are.

I’m just sort of thrown off by the term “rip it apart”. I’m not really interested in doing that. That’s language of destruction. I’m more interested in looking under the hood and seeing what it’s doing and then figuring out how to drive the damn thing and see if it handles better or worse than what I’m use too. Sure it’s gonna be weird at first..and you might ride the clutch too much or grind the gears. My point is…the language we use to talk about certain things often reveals our motives. If you’re looking for problems or ways to “tear it up” you certainly will find them, but likely at the expense of many of the things that will handle better than your certain setup. IE focusing on only the negatives blinds us from the positives.-mattyc

Dude, I didn’t say anything about money. I just said “what” will you pay me. Pizza…If that’s all you can afford will work, but I’d much prefer tacos.”
I’ll certainly take pizza as it beats a copy of the DVD, but preference is always tacos.

Yeah, but AE Renders are a whole new story, and for me that’s just as important as FCP rendering…if not moreso.
I’d still wait on buying a new Mac Pro till Thunderbolt one’s come out. Actually I am doing that right now. I’m do for a new machine but will be waiting however long it takes.
I might be wrong on this…but thunderbolt is kinda useless at the moment as of last time I checked there weren’t any thunderbolt drives available yet. So you really aren’t missing out on anything yet.

There were just lots of little oddities on this spec sheet. Informing me that DVCProHD was not acceptable for broadcast SD.

Yes there is a lot of clutter on the boards, but a lot of it comes from people being Lazy by not.
A) searching the boards for similar information.
B) even attempting basic troubleshooting when they have a problem.Imagine if you had 10 different people asking you nearly the exact same questions in one day…and It’s the same question you get asked every day by at least 10 people. That’s exactly how a lot of the guys that are heavy posters on this board must feel. So before you criticize people for making “snide” remarks… maybe think about where they are coming from. Every coin has two sides.
