yes, you can crop the video in flash. When you import the video, one of the tabs is “crop and resize.”
However, I would render the video as a widescreen NTSC avi (progressive scan)file before importing into flash. You shouldn’t have any letterboxing by doing it this way.Mary Waitrovich

I have no doubt it rocks, but so does version 6. Can you explain why we can’t live without version 7, especially if we don’t use it with midi?
thanks,

I’ve used it. It’s working for me. Beta 4 is available at:

I would try saving as .tif in PowerPoint. This is the highest resolution export available. If the logo still looks bad, it probably has something to do with the format of the logo graphic originally inserted into the slide.

In PowerPoint, Save As, and choose a graphic format, probably png or jpg, and it should ask if you want every slide. Say yes, and you will get a folder with each slide in your graphic format ready to go on the timeline in Vegas.

Carl,
I am very happy to hear this as I have been a big fan and frequent user of Aav6cc for a long time. I recently stopped using it because I realized it was really slowing down my renders on my new 8 processor machine. I do a fair amount of green screen, and your plug in allows much easier chromakeying by increasing the saturation of the green color. I will try the new version right away.thanks much,

Another way to do this is to create a series of still images of your map with the line progressing from image to image. Then in the editing tap of Preferences, set the still image length to about 1/10th of a second and add all the images. you can vary the speed of the line’s progression by varying the still image length.
A really quick and dirty way to accomplish this is to have one image with no line and one image with your entire line on it and then use a linear wipe transition between the two.

I have also had good luck with making sure project properties and render settings are all set to progressive rather than interlaced.

Rick,
you might be interested to know I removed aav6cc from my project and that dramatically improved my render time, by about 75%. So, for me, that’s that for aav6cc. I tried the secondary color corrector, but I wasn’t able to improve the key as much, and I actually found that my results with no change at all to the green were just as good.

Really? With a green screen clip, I apply the filter, set the “vector” drop down to green then increase the saturation slider to max. increasing lightness usually brightens the green a little too. I just tried it again and was able to change all 6 colors with the plug-in. I’ve been using it continuously since about Vegas 5 and am now on Vegas 8.0b and it still works.
I noticed the website for the plug-in no longer exists:

I tried to email the developer, but haven’t heard back yet.Mary
