You really want to use the Sweep behavior for this (Behaviors > Camera) – it perfectly rotates the camera around an object placed at its focal plane on any axis you choose. If you want to animate more than one axis, just add more Sweep behaviors.

Well yes, if you enable Dynamics – but that’s totally different than adjusting the timing of the stroke animation by adjusting the keyframes.

Not that I know of – I agree, it’s quite annoying

In Motion 5 you’ll need to select each opacity tag, than add the Opacity and Location parameters each individually to the keyframe editor.

That’s not a bug, that’s how keyframing control points works. It’s an aggregate keyframe in that channel.

You can do it with any kind of widget – the key as Anders pointed out is that you use Opacity to “turn off’ and “turn on” the layer(s).

Well if you want to limit your effects to specific clips, then just put them in a compound clip and apply them directly to the clip – no need for an adjustment layer

Add another cell to the emitter and use a different source object for that cell (you can simply duplicate the existing cell, then drag any layer on top of it to replace the source).

If the images are numbered sequentially, i.e, pict0001, pict002, etc., then you tell Motion to view them all as a single movie file by clicking the Show Image Sequences as Collapsed button at the bottom of the File Browser. You can then import this file like any other movie and it will play one image per frame.
