Are those text layers? They look like they are graphics.
Either way, you can simply drag the end to trim the media to the playhead.
To animate the text, if it’s a graphic your options are more limited. If it’s a text layer, you can use text behaviors to animate it.

Kevin, there is no transparency in that template. There are dropzones, there are colored shapes. If you want the dropzones themselves to be transparent, that would take a lot of work to re-engineer the project.

I mean click the activation checkbox for the dropzone layer to make it inactive, i.e., invisible.

February 28, 2014 at 1:25 pm in reply to: Archiving motion generators WITH FCPX 10.1 libraries and relinking.You do have to know to archive any custom Motion effects you create – they are located in user/movies/Motion Templates. If you place them in this location on another machine they should certainly relink to your project – confirm that they appear in the Generators Browser in FCP X on the other machine.

Make sure the color space of the PSDs is set to RGB, not Greyscale.
