Yes you can always just render out a movie that you can use in any NLE.

April 30, 2014 at 11:58 pm in reply to: Making a 3D timeline journey path… please take pity!Mark is right on – it’s like saying hey I have to build a house in a week, I’ve never built houses before, but I just got this great new circular saw – what do I do?
His suggestion to start with a template is a good one, but honestly without having some grounding in the application and how it works, it’s going to be hard to modify the template to suit your needs.
I’d modestly suggest some of my own training as well 🙂

It takes some time to learn how to what you want – nobody can just tell you how to do it. Personally, it took me a few years to develop these skills.

April 17, 2014 at 1:02 pm in reply to: Issue publishing Motion project to Final Cut Pro XNo, they are stock content for Motion, not FCP X. But all you have to do in order to make them available in FCP X is to publish them.

If you set the view in the Keyframe editor to Animated, then you’ll see all parameters with keyframes. Easy to select them all at one frame by dragging a marquee around them, copy, move the playhead, paste. Then, to fix the movement between them, reselect the first set, right-click on them, and set the Interpolation to Constant.

You are going to need to publish the position of the logo and move in FCP X depending on the text length. There is no exposed parameter in Motion that describes text length.

You determine timing of the animation by the duration of the behavior. I do recommend some training it would make your life much easier 🙂
