September 27, 2012 at 11:55 pm in reply to: Best / simplest audio solution into ATEM Television Studio?Ta, I also have a h4n recorder – can Hdmi audio out of Atem be converted to xlr in to h4n for monitoring?
Usually would monitor the webcast as audience sees it – but here we will have very limited bandwidth for streaming so don’t want to rob ourselves by monitoring.

September 27, 2012 at 11:33 pm in reply to: MOTU 896HD and Black Magic Design TV StudioAs I have just discovered, if you have sdi or Hdmi cameras you can use their audio in the BM TVS without an audio mixer etc.

September 27, 2012 at 11:29 pm in reply to: Best / simplest audio solution into ATEM Television Studio?Cheers – audio is looking good, except that as I am sending it with video to Adobe Flash Media Live Encoder for streaming, I can’t see any way to monitor the audio that’s being recorded and output, aurally.

September 27, 2012 at 8:19 pm in reply to: Best / simplest audio solution into ATEM Television Studio? Thanks Richard, in my brief testing today the SDI audio from my cameras does appear to carry through the ATEM and looked in sync. But testing wasn’t very scientific as other issues loomed larger and diverted attention.
Am sending the ATEM output to Adobe Flash Live Media Encoder to stream for webcasting, but experienced loss of preview in Adobe FLME, streaming stoppage / restarts, and terrible encode results from the ATEM (grey stripes on switcher cuts). So am off to ATEM users forum for advice.

I am pulling my hair out too! I used to batch export sequences from FCP 7 overnight to a Watch folder, get Squeeze to watch it, transcode the sequences and upload to a FTP location – now I have to add half a day to export from FCP X one project at a time – maddening!
