I have seen this occasionally. You may want to check your “broadcast safe” filter. In our case that was the culprit.

Uh…. not that I know of. Don’t think “paste attributes” applys. Looks like you’re stuck opening each one.
If you don’t know already, here’s a reminder. Chapter markers placed in the timeline will “stay put” when you make changes to the duration. In other words, if you place a chapter marker at 10 minutes in, and then trim out two minutes of the opening credits, your chapter marker will now show up 2 minutes later than your initial placement. The marker stays locked to an “absolute” location when your timeline changes. Suggestion is to place chapter markers as a last step before exporting.

I’d vote for getting rid of those pesky “auto select” buttons. Does anyone really like them?

Do you have that master clip accessible in that project? If shift f is doing nothing, then chances are the clip is NOT in your project. If that is the case, then you want to “right Click” on the clip and select “reveal in finder”. THis will open up a finder window with the path to your original clip… very helpful to find where your clip is hiding.

PS The AVID will do the same thing if you don’t have the clip in the project.
This is more about how your organize your material than anything else. -
It sounds like you want to SEE all angles rolling simultaneously, right? If that’s what you’re asking, look at the controls right above the viewer and canvass box. The center icon reveals three choices: sync off, gang and open. If you want them to “roll in sync” you must choose either open or gang. It also doesn’t hurt to RTFM!

That RGB line in the top of the screen is a known defect. Fixing it cost maybe a couple of hundred bucks via a competent repair shop.

Hey, it’s free! There are plenty of “facility/project management” programs out there. Check out “The Farmer’s Wife”, or just do a google search for “facility or project management”. Unfortunately, all these programs are very complex, complete packages tieing into accounting modules etc. Tremendous overkill for what you’re trying to do. So…. you’re back to iCal. I think it’s a good solution for what you’re doing.
I’ve used Exel to creat “room grids” and essentially do the same thing, but we don’t track by the hour or day… only by the week. So you probably won’t get the level of detail you want. The fact that you can publish the iCal info so easily is a HUGE plus. In your situation, access is everything.
