    Hi Steve,
Well, the calculations are not imperative.
The client is only going to enter hours minutes seconds… so they can ballpark the durations manually if they like.
The main thing is to have the excel fields automatically change 6 numbers into HH:MM:SS automatically.
I tried that formula and entered it onto excel and it says “Microsoft Excel cannot use the number format you typed. Try using one of the built in number formats.”
Presumably Im using the formula properly, ie entering it in the Format Cells > Custom field?
    Tx

  • Hi,
I just had this error on my PC… and the projects were ones I worked on in December… and had not changed anything on my system.

I updated today via the CC, and the projects now open fine… Did you update, see if that works.

ie its the key between Lift and Extract!

  • hi there,
im not at my system now, but to expand ANY window full screen, hover the mouse over that window and the ‘ @ key (one to the right of the ;: key) toggles full screen.

    cheers

    Hi Joseph,
Yeah, I typically am very straighforward with them, though in this case, my client is a PR agency and the PITA is my client’s client… which makes it a bit more tricky since I know that telling them I will charge more (which I have) means they have to then speak to their client. Though that is fair, it does mean that my choice puts them in that situation.

Hopefully they will be happy with the latest font changes now…

    Cheers,

    Mark.

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for the suggestion and instructions. I think the scripting thing is a little above my head, though I may try it when I have a spare couple of hours… it would be very useful to deal with bulk tweaks on this project though!

    Cheers,
    Mark.

Hi guys, thanks for the responses.

I have not fiddled with scripts before, but the 3rd party plugin Ridley and John mentioned, https://aescripts.com/pt_textedit/

Is exactly what I would want AE to do… looks like a very nice little programme. I reckon AE could very easily implement a style saving/applying feature, so I’m going to request it at Adobe.

    Tx again,

    Mark.

[Erik Boles] “More importantly, I was looking for electrical diagrams of the G2/G3 series. they are molded plugs, so I cannot take it apart to see how it is wired, I need to chop the wire and put on a new plug, but I need to know which one goes to tip and which one to the barrel.

Erik did you find out, I have the same problem with mine.
I guess a scalpel and some patience might work 😉
