  • Thanks George, that fixed it.

  • But every time I open a new project it is set to +.8 Db, anyone know why?

  • Actually I just found it after months of searching. I opened the mixing screen and found that the preview channel was set to + .8 Db. don’t ask me why but i set it to 0 and all is well.

I’m not sure, but with the cards from my sony nx5 you need to use the Sony content management software. Import all the clips from both cards and it recognises when they were shot and combines and names them accordingly.

HI I bought it and have been using it flat out since the minute I got it. FULL of bugs, crashes 50 – 60 times a day. Has a good layout and for some reason renders faster, but useless until things are ironed out. I really think Sony should have tested the beta for longer and worked a bit harder getting this one right. Also what’s wrong with able to save as a previous version so not everything is wasted?

This has happened to me before and both times it was my DVD burner. Some brands and models just don’t agree with DVDA as well as others. I always use pioneer drives but the most recent Blue-ray DVD burner combo fails heaps so I went to another band and its OK. Also drop your speed on the burn if all else fails and see how that goes.

  • Had the same problem, so i changed every setting until I found one that worked. I changed the pixels to custom setting 556 X 480 and all is OK. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the posts about Vegas, I was talking about the ease in which you can edit, zoom, cross fade, snap, copy etc etc etc using the same keys as any other windows program. Also opening up a few versions and coping and pasting files, it just works well. Mixing is a different story you can mix in any program but the edits themselves are brilliant in Sony.

Clicks and pops often happen when the bit rate and files formats are not matched. Have a look at your audio setting in vegas and see if they are the same as your file. I have mine both set to 44.1 16 bit and i use the zoom all the time no problems. Once you have matched the setting delete then re-insert the files into vegas and use the rebuild audio peaks and see if the glitches are gone. If not try the plugin smooth and enhance it works well for old records I’m not sure but it might work with digital glitches.

Hi, capturing in HDV long clips i used to loose audio and everything was out of sync. I changed the “maximum ram buffer size” in the capture preferences when capturing and all is well.
