Why are my mastered audio files clipping in Vegas 14? The same files play fine in any version of Vegas before 14. Is there a meter setting somewhere I can’t find? The files are set at -01 DB after being mastered and don’t clip on any other program just vegas 14.

Actually I just found it after months of searching. I opened the mixing screen and found that the preview channel was set to + .8 Db. don’t ask me why but i set it to 0 and all is well.

But every time I open a new project it is set to +.8 Db, anyone know why?

    HI Mark,

Have you done a full reset recently? This procedure will often correct for some strange behavior in Vegas Pro.

On the desktop, hold down Shift+Ctrl keys while double clicking on the Vegas Pro desktop icon. Select “Delete all cached application data”, then “Yes”. This will start Vegas Pro with all default settings and delete the cached data, which is often the culprit to Vegas Pro behaving oddly. Just an idea that may help.

    Best Regards……George
