You mean… follow the playhead?
You don’t… Not in FCP.

[Rafael Amador] “I have to try with .mv4. It works with QT player but I have to try with Flash Player. In theory should work. “
Good theory…. But no go.

Have you tried the NDD version of the driver? I know that some of the G5s were having issues with the Mac Desktop feature in the AJA Control Panel.

If you have multiple systems, and most of us do, then you only need to download the update once and you can pass it around to all of your systems to be updated – Intel and PowerPC.

WOW!
That was a quick bunch of responses. Thanks, guys!
The issues… I’m not sure, but the last I talked with AJA thru email back before Christmas, they said to stay away at all cost. And reading the emails with 10.5.6 came out – the nightmares that occurred.
Well, let’s just say that I don’t have very much downtime to fix a meltdown.

Cool!
How about MacOS 10.5.6 support? I was told that this was a serious issue with the Kona cards. Is this true?

[Chris Borjis] “they can do it now by burning the p2 folders to dual-layer BD-R though.
“We’ve been doing just this for now… But I’m not too impressed with the protection of a simple plastic case for the disc. I would feel much more comfortable with the XDCAM disc for backup.
[Chris Borjis] “Sony is really moving like a slug
on this drive.”That’s a serious understatement…

[Don Greening] “This won’t be updated for the PDW-U1 until the middle of the year (according to our Sony insider). “
I have heard this for almost two years, now… I’m not so sure that Sony is ever going to do this. Myself and a colleague have been in touch with Sony about this for the past three years.
Can you imagine what this would mean to P2 users – being able to store their precious data on XDCAM discs?

Does your client need the original files or is this just for preview?
