I know but when its converted to PAL it speeds up the video by something like 4% which means I cannot sync the original audio with the new converted video. If you get what I mean.

Thanks for the heads up man about labeling the thread.
We sorted it out, ended up exporting a quicktime movie prores 720 x 576 anamorphic deinterlaced and also using the de-interlace filter on FCP.
Then imported into Encore and just let it do the transcoding. Worked fine.
    Thanks for the help.
Way too many formats out there!!!

Ok thanks again everyone for the help. I done the slow method and it worked great , the only problem is that it is a music video and it has changed the pitch, which I don’t think my client will be too happy about.
Any other suggestions? Thanks a million for the help so far

I kinda figured that…argh its a pain in the ass. Thanks a million for the response, I’m gonna get HC Encoder and try it out. Ideally I don’t want it going below 4 mbps.
    Thanks again

Well I set my in and out point on the timeline of the sequence then went to Edit-Export..- Export quicktime movie. I unticked the “make self contained” box to speed up the process. Maybe I shouldnt have done this??
