    Hi,
I am trying to export a sequence from the fcp timeline to a quicktime movie all the footage is xdcam EX 1080 p25. I want this to be in lower quality as its a rough cut. The problem that I am getting is that the export is going out of sync by atleast 9 seconds. maybe you could help with this? thanks a million for help in the past.
    Kind regards

    Hi Mark,
I’ve never experienced that problem with EX-1.
Had you tried Export to QT and QT Conversion?

Well I set my in and out point on the timeline of the sequence then went to Edit-Export..- Export quicktime movie. I unticked the “make self contained” box to speed up the process. Maybe I shouldnt have done this??

Well, then you are exporting a Reference Movie, but it shouldn’t be the audio delay, but this can be caused for different reasons (System limitations, a complicated time-line,..)
Just check “Make Self-Contained” and make a test to see if the delay persists.
