    Hi Guys!!!
Hey I have a big problem for me but maybe a small problem for yee.
I have a 2 and a Half hour timeline in premiere pro CS3 I want to transcode it for a dvd menu in encore but every time I use the media encoder it is giving me the size of over 5 gig. I have dropped my bitrate to 3.5 and I am doing a 2 pass. Will I lose quality much using this. Or does anyone know the right settings to use for this? Please help asap I have to deliver this tomorrow for a viewing.
    Thanks everyone!
    Kindest Regards

That is a long movie to fit on a single layer disc. I calculate it out to be around 3.7 mbps. You might want to consider using a different mpeg encoder that will give you much better results at lower bitrates (such as HCEncoder), or split it up over 2 discs, or place it on a dual layer disc. Good luck.

I kinda figured that…argh its a pain in the ass. Thanks a million for the response, I’m gonna get HC Encoder and try it out. Ideally I don’t want it going below 4 mbps.
    Thanks again
