I can reproduce this too. I tried with 1080p video and with a single jpg and got the same results. I tried using the Zoom Edit tool and using the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in. I tried with GPU on and off. I tried to find another option to get the same results that Stephen did (where it worked), but could not find one.

I just tried this last month after remembering a Sony Webinar Q&A session mention you could do this. I could not find a way to do this without the workaround you mentioned. I find ImgBurn more useful, so I’m not sure I would consider this a workaround as opposed to a better workflow.

It opened in Audacity with 6 audio tracks. Although I was not sure how to make changes to save back to Sony Vegas Pro. You need to export and I was afraid it would try to export the whole m2ts file. I wonder if Sony Vegas Pro and your version of platinum use a different method to open the video clip and that is why you are getting the file locked message.

Thanks for sharing, because I would never realize when they update this Titler Pro plugin. I ran the check for updates from within Titler Pro and it stated I had the current version, yet when I install from the link and put in the serial number, it is a new version as you stated.

    Thanks again

It only crashes about 30% of the time I drag it to the timeline, but once the event is there on the timeline I have no other problems using it. I will try out the new build and see if that improves, but it definitely does not crash every time and I have been able to use it. I suspect it is more about the OpenCL support with the video drivers as most of my SVP crashes have disappeared with the later NVidia drivers.

    Nick,

I tried again, but this time set audio to 5.1. I normally just do stereo. When I chose edit audio Audacity opened the m2ts, even though I selected only one audio track, but left everything grouped together as it was when I dragged the video clip to the timeline. If I chose edit a copy, then Audacity opened the take-2.wav file. The version of
Audacity I am using is 1.3.13-beta (Unicode).

I always got the wav file to edit with my stereo projects, so trying the 5.1 was something I noticed different with your source video.

I have used this feature many times with Audacity as my editor with Sony Vegas Pro 8, 9, 10, and 11. It has always brought in just the audio portion of by AVCHD video. Can you provide some more details bout the version of Vegas you are using ,what external audio editor, and maybe something about the source you have on the timeline that you are trying to edit?

Did you install New Blue Titler Pro? It is included in the purchase of version 11, but it is a separate installer.

I tried with two 1920x1080x60p sources with project properties set to DV Widescreen. I had no problem with the preview with GPU features turned on. I tried changing pixel format from 8bit to 32bit in the project properties, but it still worked. See if you get different results by changing the pixel format in the project properties or if you turn off the use of the GPU (if you have one). That might help narrow down the problem.

I have not seen anything like that. Are you sure you are not viewing the trimmer window instead (shared with the preview window)? That is the first thing I look for now when my preview does not seem to be displaying what I expect.
