  • SVP11 Anchor Creation Tool bug?

Posted by Darren Campbell on April 8, 2012 at 3:57 pm

I zoomed in using Pan/Crop and started to draw around something, I made an error so I clicked Undo and it zoomed back out to it’s default state, so I had to zoom back in and find where I had I left off when using the Anchor tool.

Anybody else having this problem? I don’t recall Pro 10 having this nuisance.

I think in general there is a bug in the undo stack processing as I’ve had VP11 crash or ignore undo commands (for other operations than pan/crop).

Sorry, I can’t duplicate the problem here.
Using Event Pan Crop, I zoomed into a section of the frame, created a mask around an irregular object. Then each CTRL-Z removed the next previous anchor point until the last CTRL-Z which removed the resizing.

I’m pretty sure that’s how it’s supposed to work.

Seems you are right there Stephen, Seems undo rightfully
    removes all resizing.

[Steve Rhoden] ” Seems undo rightfully removes all resizing.”

Only after removing all subsequent steps. CTRL-Z works as expected here.

I can reproduce this too. I tried with 1080p video and with a single jpg and got the same results. I tried using the Zoom Edit tool and using the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in. I tried with GPU on and off. I tried to find another option to get the same results that Stephen did (where it worked), but could not find one.

I went back to SVP 10e and it works just like Stephen described. I can undo each anchor point with CTRL-Z.

I also noticed that in SVP 11, it only processes the first CTRL-Z while the Video Event FX window has the focus. To undo each point with CTRL-Z, I need to click on the main SVP 11 window to give it focus each time I want to do an undo action. If you can confirm this also, then I will submit a report to Sony. I just want to confirm I did not overlook some other setting.

    EDIT—-
A workaround is to use the anchor delete tool and hold down the ALT key as you select the anchor point to delete. I noticed if I did not hold down the ALT key, then the entire path was selected and deleted.
