Has anyone else had issues with glitches with transitions between events in Vegas Pro 11? I was getting them on my laptop when trying to use dissolves and thought it was just my laptop, but I’ve recently upgraded to Vegas Pro 11 at work and I’m experiencing the same glitch. The best way I can describe it is sometimes, not all the time, when I put a dissolve or other transition between events I get what looks like colored static for the duration of the transition.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas how to fix it? Thanks.

    I’m having a similar problem in 10e…

Clips are fine on their own, but when overlapping two events (standard crossfade) where one was an AVI loaded from a Sony MRU and the other is DV-AVI loaded from any other camera, this happens.

    – Preview.. happens
    – Rendering to MPEG2 or DV-AVI… happens

Changing Dynamic RAM has no effect… HELP!

Mine are both DV AVI files, but I have had this problem with just about every file type I’ve tried to edit with.

I tried with two 1920x1080x60p sources with project properties set to DV Widescreen. I had no problem with the preview with GPU features turned on. I tried changing pixel format from 8bit to 32bit in the project properties, but it still worked. See if you get different results by changing the pixel format in the project properties or if you turn off the use of the GPU (if you have one). That might help narrow down the problem.

No, its not a GPU issue, because Rob has the
    same issue in Vegas 10.

I use Vegas 10 and Something like that happened in
one of my projects somewhile back, i closed and reopen
back vegas and all was well.

What i found out about vegas, is that if you are working
on a project for a very long period of time, things may start
behaving oddly….So i close and reopen vegas several times
while i work and save regularly….i know of nothing else
    that makes this task simpler.
