You proved the 32bit codecs do not have a problem, but Vegas 9 64bit needs a 64bit codec. Can you test with Vegas 9 32bit to see if it is a problem with the 64bit codec?

You can bring the graphic in on the track below the title. As long as the graphic format supports transparency, the video below will show through as you desire.

I did increase it to 20,000. I am working on a project and rather than letting it go above 10,000 (watching it in the processes tab of Task Manager) I saved the project and restarted Vegas to get that value back down. For example, before I started a render, I restarted. May not have been necessary, but I had a deadline and figured it was quicker to restart Vegas than to waste time if the render failed half way through.

Just hit the 10,000 GDI limit with SVP 12 and Windows 7. Just changed the limit to 20,000 to see if that helps. I was working on a slide show with 250 source jpgs in the Project Media tab. I had already removed a bunch of them from the project and was selecting all of the remaining ones to see if I could get a count of them.
Link that explains how to change the default. It used to be 16K in Windows 2000.

I like to keep the previous versions around to help with troubleshooting. I have been able to do everything I need with SVP 12 for the last month or so. The registry change allows people to address the problem, but still have the previous version until they feel comfortable to remove it. Removing version 11 is also a valid solution and I did not mean to imply it was not.

My interpretation of the hybrid, is taking a BluRay ISO created in Vegas that has 15 or so minutes of content and burning that to DVD media. The resulting DVD media must be played in a BluRay player, but you get to use the much cheaper media with the benefits of have HD content.

I opened a ticket to SCS to document this solution so they have the info to incorporate a better solution.
