Varicam DVCPRO100 runs at 100Mb/s so you can use regular 400Mb/s drives.

I decided to buy Dell because of the price, quality, size and optional inputs. I have Apple 23″ display at work but Dell looks the same and has PIP, component inputs, composite and card reader on the side of the panel. It does not look like PC at all and only thing to remind you that it is Dell is a logo on the bottom of the screen.
I highly recommend it.Mariusz

Hi,
After trying all different methods posted on Apple and other sites I finally had to erase everything from my computer that said “Qmaster” and “compressor” by using Spotlight.
After that I installed Compressor with Qmaster again and works. I think this is the fastest way to fix problem.Mariusz

Hi,
I will reply because I just had this problem. There is some info on Apple Support page but it did not help in my case. I had to manually remove everything from my computer that said “compressor” or “Qmaster” using spotlight.
Then I reinstalled Compressor with Qmaster and it works fine now. Good luck.Mariusz

I am waiting for your “auto iris” plug in for situation where brightness changes and it is hard to do it manually. That plug in would really simplify editing. We exchanged posts about it here few weeks ago.
Thanks for contributing here and for your plug ins and standards conversion.Mariusz

I’ve had this problem before but after upgrading to latest software to FCP 5 it will only create new clip when there was real camera start/stop break on the tape which is fine.
Since then it works very well.Mariusz

Hi Brian,
There is lot of diffent menu settings that kind of rely on each other. You may have color correction off for that particular switch gain position.
Contact me if you still have a problem adjusting camera.Mariusz Cichon

August 5, 2005 at 4:40 am in reply to: RF Error Alarm using the Varicam. Has anyone else experienced it?Ray,
One more thing that should be also done is to replace cleaning roller. Camera uses that roller not only to automatically clean heads when they get dirty but also to stop drum from spinning when you press stop.
If you had a problem with RF I am sure that roller is dirty too and it will make heads dirty again that will lead to the same problem soon. Panasonc authorized service centers have them available for replacement.

I would recommend to use Motion chroma keying options as they are better than one included with FCP.
I did play with HDV footage in Motion and definitely chrome key looked better than your examples.Mariusz
