I have the video and the srt. Will try the trials but usually the trials limit the length of the output.

Hi Richard,

I have the same settings as the person who asked that question, and I have put HDV in the playback but FCP still does not recognize the camera.

sorry, I just found. pretty basic really, I just added the 16:9 clip to a 640 sequence et adjusted the position and size of the frame.
the solution is sometimes jst a cup of tea way!

Hi Shane,

because I am encountering another porblem on the same project, I thought I would ask you 🙂

I have done the ProRes convertion; it helps indeed tremendously, phew!

I only have one last problem: the cuts in the soundtracks each have an unpleasant glitch, like a tiny peak that goes “scratch”. Is it another format issue? That never happened on my HDV projects.
