I can help….. send me an email directly – include your system ID and dongle serial # or activation ID. I will need to retire the license and issue a new one and make sure that our systems reflect that this was stolen so whoever did it can’t try and use it.

Here is the skinny on using older versions.
Mac Media Composer 6.5.4.2 and Symphony 6.5.4.2 can recognize a Media Composer 8.0 and Symphony Option Activation ID, respectively.
Windows Media Composer 6.5.4.2, Symphony 6.5.4.2, and NewsCutter 10.5.4.2 can recognize a Media Composer 8.0, Symphony Option, or NewsCutter Option license if the latest version of Avid License Control is installed.
he chart in the article link below explains what earlier versions of Media Composer, Symphony and NewsCutter can run with a new Media Composer 7.0, Symphony Option, and NewsCutter 11.0 license (dongle or software).

Hi Tom,
There were a few render related fixes added to the 6.0.3.2 release which is free for anyone using 6.x. I suggest you upgrade to that version which you can get off the DL center. If you want to wait a few days it might benefit you as we are soon to launch 6.0.3.3.
Otherwise I would look at where you are rendering the files too….. thats most likely the culprit.

Hi Juan….
What happened this weekend was a web glitch on our part and not intentioanl at all. Again it was not our intent to expose that information and knowing that this draft info on a prominent site like the COW could lead to confusion, we contacted Ron. Together we agreed that removing the post was the best option since, at the time, we didn’t know the extent of what was uploaded.
We weren’t “censoring,” but just trying to react quickly to a situation we didn’t yet know the scope of. Had we been in censorship mode we would have tried to remove all reference to the information everywhere.
Our apologies that you took it this way but you were the first to post and we didnt know how much was out there …. not our intention to offend.
A lot of you folks have sent me emails asking very specific ?’s that I am not at liberty to comment on…. I do hope you like the glimpse you did get but I can’t comment further.
