    HI.

Asfar as i know DL card gives out stuff when you have supported software running ?

RR wil just be as a hardware speedup for resolve with r3d.

I’m not really sure how you would like to use DL ?

Ok i agree you have some expectations but still if i would be you
i would go with digital8 route. It seems most effective. Afterwards
i would use intensity to play out all the material to tv. I would say
Video Recorder for 149 is the product that could be the one you had to buy for vhs. I have not testes it myself but it seems mor for your needs of capturing vhs.

Few years ago one did not have option to play out something for 190.
At home this feels really good option to me.

    HI.

    1. I would not comment on cs thing as my experience is cs stuff is really unstable in my experience.

    2. you do not get the simple idea here. vhs has so bad signal and no sync, that the standardized capture cards will go nuts with that. been there done and tested that a lot. does not matter what card you use.
with digital 8 route you have the best possible way to capture those old vhs tapes. capture card can capture those advertised signals but question is if you can provide descent signal. digital 8 input is internally compensated for this really bad signal. with regular vhs you just can not do that. heck it was the way to protect rental vhs tapes to be not copyed. sync was manipulated as far as i could see.
Just capture all your stuff with digital 8 flyby and you are done with this horrible vhs for ever.

    3. it is always some drivers or configuration issue that users complain about. they just do not know it.
most of the time products works as expected. user errors makes things look bad. specially really bad material like vhs.

Check for the input selection ?
Usually you have digital in or analogue in selected.

    Select what you need.

Really nice. We could say that the theory of using optical bay door works 🙂
With custom bay door it will be really neat.

    It is pretty simple.

Broadcast decks are usually linked to whole studio sync generator i.e. genlock.

You now simulate this with pal out as you have only one deck and output. In big studio
where you have a lot of different machines you have to keep them in sync that picture
would not “jump”. As you only have 2 devices you can simulate sync like this.
This method has downside also. When you do not have any thing coming out from
pal you lose sync. Once you play out something you will be fine.

You get ref from sync generator not from multibridge if used regular way.

Generaly it is possible to loop Y if i remember correctly to ref and loop it on deck end
or just try to use PAL(ntsc) output as ref.

It should work like this but sync generator would be the best solution.

I would just make two nodes with windows.
One for big pick inverted and the other for small and set blur to 0 for both.

It only works if you do not need any really detailed selection etc.

In the other hand i just would do pip parts just one after the other and grade separately if needed?

October 11, 2010 at 8:29 pm in reply to: appending nodes

I had the exact need last week.

I did first run to balance shots on first node.
Afterwards i did want to append “look” so that the first node was left as it is after
    primary run.

I did not dig manual too much but i managed it to just drag and drop.
I just got 3 minute music video and it was not hard. With full feature this possibility would be
    real timesaver.

How is others managing this task ?
