I’ve also seen performance hits if the shots are not all coming from the same place, preferably the same folder on the same drive.

Are you using a LUT? If so, which one? That could have a huge result on the amount of available range for correction.

If you mean the Timelines, yes, they’re shown in creation order. You can temporarily sort them by name by clicking on the Name column in the edit page, but that order is not saved with the session, unfortunately.

What bugs me is when you switch timelines with the big panels, it just goes through them in the original creation order and not in the new order (at least, it did with v9 — not at the console at the moment so I can’t verify v10). It’d really be nice to have the Timelines have the ability to have their order permanently changed, maybe with a “Set Order” button.

Call me crazy (and many do), but I’d love something as simple as being able to drop in a couple of points on an existing circular power window just to finesse it a little bit more without having to redraw a Power Curve from scratch. I’m all about getting it done faster.

Well, in the Layer Mixer, the different nodes have priority (the bottom input having priority over the top ones), and in the Parallel Node, the different nodes blend together equally. So they’re different but similar. Alexis covers this pretty well in his Ripple Training videos, and on pp. 554-555 of the v10 manual. My take is: do whatever gets the job done fastest. You can always change a Parallel Node to a Layer Node and vice-versa later on.
