I always go out from FC in Pro-Res.. then I can use whatever I like to compress in whatever format.. .Like the free MPEG STREAMCLIP

Convergent Desing utility is very good.. allows batch and is fast… the only problem is that it creates 2 wrong mono tracks (with noise pulses and no sound) inside. The MXF created with FC are (if you put the right settings) correct on audio. Does somebody know how to correct the audio in Convergent Design’s utility ?

Sorry to eerybody.. I wrote wrng my question.. I need to convert to mov NOT FROM mov. Anyway.. also this is usefull but it should be a batch.. Having to do it clip by clip makes it useless for production. Finally you need to have final Cut.. Is just a wrapper… Why can’t I find a simple tool standalone to do it?

Try to increase depth of Field on sit by going far with the tripod and shooting in TELE. If you still need to do something afetrwards, as well as duplicating layers and masking one (as described above), you could try TIFFEN DFX filters for Final Cut that do the same but better and faster

I have picked a platform.. That’s MAC.. but Premiere (on Mac) doesn’t use Prto-Res in realtime like Final Cut does

Somebody found out some good solution? Pro-Res is realtime in Final Cut but not on Adobe Premiere… Is there something for Mac like Cineform Prospect HD (great realtime playback on PC/ Adobe Premiere) for Mac? I can play realtime XDCAM ( MP4 wrapped )and P2 but these are shooting formats and not really good formats to use as intermediates when working with HDV for example.
Also.. why the hell Premiere works realtime with XDCAM MP4 wrapper and not MOV wrapper.. BUT EXPORTS MOV WRAPPER AND NOT MP4 WRAPPER ?!?!
