First try to ‘ping’ the IP adresses from a computer.
If they respond and still no gang recording settings appear.
Once and a while I have the same issue. Setting fixed IP settings didn’t really help. Starting up all devices again fixes it for me.

From a AJA tech support guy I also got the reply that the version 2.0 is a bit more forgiving for the signal input then version 1.1.

I’m using a Blackmagic analog to SDI convertor close to the deck. Also connect the audio. so the audio is embedded into the SDI signal.
They are more easy to find then the CVBS to Component devices, and you go directly digital instead of converting first to another analog signal which adds noise.

I experienced it in two cases:
    – Cameraman on stage is swapping battery (obvious reason) or bad contact in HD-SDI cable
    – Wireless HD receiver has a short glitch receiving the video

I had no stopping of recording since I started using them 7 months ago as long as the signal was an uninterrupted feed using 720P50 video format in my case.

Not an issue, but my which list is when using the recording as 2 channel audio, to have an option to have it as Stereo tracks instead of two mono channels.
At the same time it would simplify the default export in FCP timeline generating ProRess files in stereo. Meaning that the Ki Pro is able to play it as a stereo audio. As now the audio is sounding distrorted when playing stereo channels.

Second that. Hope it will be added soon.
As I now have to give my Ross video switcher for free in rental with the 4x Ki Pro’s to serve as a frame-buffer by using the AUX1-3 outputs and Program output as inputs for the Ki Pro’s.
As soon as one incoming frame drops for any reason, the switcher continues generating frames.
I then get an expected black or freeze frame, but at least the video recording hasn’t stopped.

I think this is another problem, then the recording which stops as soon as one video frame is not received right.
Your 500GB drive is it 7200RPM?

Maybe for 3G SDI, as HD-SDI passes through uncompressed with my Matrox MXO2.
In that case they should limit it that it cannot visualize 3G-HDI?
At least 95% of the cases SD-SDI and HD-SDI is used now-a-days anyway.
It would be so cool to have that functionality on our MacBooks Pro’s.
