It does record automatically in ProRes 422. The flavor for quality, you can choose from the menu.

I have done that, but Safari makes a temp file on the local drive first. Explorer has trouble showing the webpages. Last try will be firefox.

The specs you are asking under $500 is a bit hard.
Alternatively you should buy a Dell monitor and connect strait on the HDMI output of the kiPro.
The BlackMagic Smartview Duo and HD monitors are fine too.

I use SmallHD montor. Very good results for the money.

David, I don’t really get your reaction.
AJA support has been super so far. And the upcoming features in firmware 3.0 does contain many user-based requests. That’s support!
A delay in release is just real world in development.
