Downloading files through web interface
Is there any work-around to get a ‘Save as…” instead?
As this ‘download’ button is making my workflow impossible.
Even if I set Safari to put downloads at an external drive, Safari starts saving a temp file first on the local drive.
I simply don’t have that space available! On the KiProMini that Firewire 800 port is really missing… -

Safari can be configured to save your downloads to a specific folder:
1) Open Safari Preferences
2) Select the General tab
3) Change the “Save downloaded files to:” to the folder of your choosing.Hope this helps.

I have done that, but Safari makes a temp file on the local drive first. Explorer has trouble showing the webpages. Last try will be firefox.

You might also want to check to see whether your virus scanner is creating the temporary file in order to scan it. Just a thought.
In general, I prefer Chrome. However, I am not sure whether or not it creates a temp file first… but it is worth a try.
