Downloading files through web interface

May 4, 2012 at 2:30 pmIs there any work-around to get a ‘Save as…” instead?
As this ‘download’ button is making my workflow impossible.
Even if I set Safari to put downloads at an external drive, Safari starts saving a temp file first on the local drive.
I simply don’t have that space available! On the KiProMini that Firewire 800 port is really missing…Jeremy Garchow

May 15, 2012 at 5:01 pmSafari can be configured to save your downloads to a specific folder:
1) Open Safari Preferences
2) Select the General tab
3) Change the “Save downloaded files to:” to the folder of your choosing.Hope this helps.

May 15, 2012 at 5:34 pmI have done that, but Safari makes a temp file on the local drive first. Explorer has trouble showing the webpages. Last try will be firefox.

In general, I prefer Chrome. However, I am not sure whether or not it creates a temp file first… but it is worth a try.
