Just purchased Ki-Pro to record conferences through 2 different vision mixers. I have done this for 4 jobs to date (tried both component and SDI SD settings) and so far so good. The thread about the Ki-Pro stopping a few threads back spooked me and though personally I’ve had no trouble I am afraid to upgrade the firmware to 2.0. Should I be? Part of me says to leave well enough alone… Can somebody play Daddy and tell me it will be OK?

The KiPro works the same in that regard in v1 or v2. If it doesn’t like the signal, it stops.

So, you’ll be ok, just send a robust signal.

Thanks Jeremy. I thought so. It’s just nice to hear it said. All the best

From a AJA tech support guy I also got the reply that the version 2.0 is a bit more forgiving for the signal input then version 1.1.
