Hey thank you very much for the help. Yes its exactly something like Jar-Jar Binks tongue, I totally forgot about that scene in Star Wars.

I already figured something with the Squash and Stretch parameters in the IK tag that I think it can work for what I want. I just dsicovered those parameters. thanks for your help and the example file.

Oh ok, thanks for the answer. In my case I think I’m going to add to the render an object buffer for the object with transparency thats obscuring my pyrocluster matrix. Then render again just a pass of the post effects atmosphere for the pyrocluster whitout the transparent object visible. And then use that to do the compositing.

June 15, 2011 at 1:59 pm in reply to: Xpresso for blinking lights

Thanks for the help Tim, I didn’t know about that Track after function in Cinema 4d but if it works like the loopOut expression in AE it should work for my blinking lights. I’ll check it out. I just wanted to automate the blinking without keyframes because it has to be done to a lot of lights. I thought the xpresso approach was the only way to do it in C4d, but I think the “loopOut” method will be much easier for me. Thanks.

June 14, 2011 at 7:20 pm in reply to: Xpresso for blinking lights

Yes, the idea of a switch to tell the light blink when to begin for each light is what I want, but I don’t know how to achieve this, what node to use to offset the start value of the animation for each light. I’m not sure if i understood correctly what you are working on for robertleger.net Xpresso tasks but it seems pretty much the same principle for what I want. I basically want to automate the blinking but with an offset time to start the xpresso animation for each light. Thanks a lot for the answer and trying to help.

August 2, 2009 at 9:49 pm in reply to: Exporting motion graphics with H264

Thanks for the info. But The solutions provided did not help much. Encoding with the x264 codec does not seems to work and changing or adjusting the transparency mode on the quicktime player movie properties works fine but only to view it on quicktime. Once you upload the video to a video share site it will look again washed out. Also if you view it on the VLC player.
After trying a lot I found that exporting the movie as h264 directly from AE, using the H264 format preset, gives much better results and no washed out picture. The trick is selecting the format preset H264 and not using the quicktime format options to change the codec to h264 from there (and AE will warn you). I dont know what really happens but I think AE will encode the movie using another encoder than quicktime and this will result in a better h264 movie, since the gamma shift problem is a bug of quicktime. Exporting from quicktime pro or compressor always gives washed out picture, at least in my case.
I Hope this helps and thanks again.
