Hey, actually you can watch the final result on the following link. I did this for the Ae Tuts+ Logo Reveal Contest so I uploaded it to youtube. You will see the characters of the logo being shot or impelled towards the camera. I only used the Time*# expression for the rotation of some of the characters and animated with keyframes the position values. It was not as time saving as I thought because tweaking the values of the expression to the desired look took some time. But is nice to learn a new experession since I don´t know too much about it.
Here´s the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kw9-Sa72_nI&feature=channel_page
Thanks for the help again.

Hey thanks for the answer. The only diferent thing I did is to group both wheels on the same layer in the Illustrator CS3 file, but I don’t see why that would’nt work. I’ve also tried to export the file as a .psd file, but the result is the same. I also think it is an optic illusion but the weird thing is that the wheel is not rotating to fast, even when I set it to rotate only one cycle in 5 seconds I get this weird rotation. Anyway, with motion blur applied appears to be moving correctly, Thanks.

Here is a link to a youtube video where you can see how rotation is behaving on this layer. This is only a layer animated with rotation. Look how the center of the wheel rotates at a a diferent spped and direction than the edge of the wheel.

Hello again. I’ve decided to go with de Matrox MXO Solution with the 23” Apple CD for color correction of my HDV documentary. So, with the ability to monitor super balck and super white with MXO I should not worry about the black levels on the Apple Cinema Display? Or this will be allways a problem with the DVI display?

I’ve done it by only selecting the clip that you want to match frame, without disabling it. Just select the clip on any track and press match frame (F).

Make sure that in the image options of the canvas (third button on top of the canvas window) the RGB option is selected. Perhaps you pressed the keyboard shortcut to see the alpha channel.

Thank you very much for the info. I’ve also read Shane Ross’s article about Matrox MXO and now I’m very clear about how MXO works. But I don’t clearly understand if I can use my current SD NTSC Monitor with MXO because, if I’m not wrong, this device will only output through DVI. How can I conect the MXO to my SD MONITOR?
If I can down convert HD to SD and use my SD NTSC Monitor with MXO knowing that I will not see an HD image, But SD, would be very wrong to do the color correction on the Final Cut HDV sequence anyway?
Sorry for my English, I’m from Venezuela and I don’t know if I’m explaining my self very well. I have another question and maybe you will laugh becasuse probably its an stupid idea what I’m about to say. What happens if I Copy my HDV sequence and paste it into a SD DV-Ntsc sequence, render, and monitor trough External video via firewire on my SD video NTSC Broadcast Monitor (don’t know if this is possible). Do the color correction on that DV sequence and then copy and paste the filters (one by one) on my HDV sequence.
Is this possible? Am I crazy? I know it would be a tedious task to copy all the filters to another sequence and I don’t know if this process will finally result on a reliable broadcast color correction, I guess not, but I’m just wondering and learning about HDV.
