Did you try trashing your prefs?
They’re in your user dir and usually don’t uninstall with AE, so theyll still be there when you reinstall. -

Never promise to do something you haven’t already done.
Experimenting on the clients dime is frowned upon, and it makes you work slower too.I should invest in a paddle factory.

i havent seen it but the best way to do ink splats is to film them and then fine tune them

generally people use 300-350dpi
Some people prefer 350 for clarity especially if there is alot of contrast/detail or fonts
multiply 300 (or 350 or whatever you used)by your length and width for how many pixels to make it, in the end just save out a frame as a psd and print it at the dpi rate it was created. -
i had framerate issues just hitting the space bar, but if i clicked the ram preview button and let it make all the frames then it will play back real time once it is done.
