Thanks, I’ll give those codecs a try.

On a somewhat related note, I’ve found that the font list in Vegas is pretty out of date. It includes references to fonts that I don’t have (Arial Baltic, CE, et cetera), and it’s fairly annoying since from what I understand, these are simply alias fonts of Arial. Is there any way to edit the Vegas font list? Or should I just re-install?

I got Virtual Dub, in fact I already had it, but when I try to import an MPG file, it gives me this error:
“MPEG Import Filter: invalid pack at position 3; marker bit not set; possibly MPEG-2 stream”

How can I fix this?

How do I make the emitter allow me to chose the starting and ending point? For instance I believe that is a technique you use in your lightsaber tutorial; the lightsaber emitter allows you to choose the starting and ending points.

I guess I’m making a super-emitter then? I’m not really sure how to explain it.

I can click an unlimited amount of times on any given frame, and it has like little bars of lightning going from point to point.

Can someone just give me a tutorial on emitter construction? Or is it possible to edit that excellent lightning/lightning 2 emitter so that it seems like a band of electricity is going from a determined point to another. Also, other little bands of electricity should like flicker out at the ending point. Like in Return of the Jedi, when the Emperor is killed Luke by Force-electrocuting him to death. THAT is the kind of effect I’m after

Is there a way that I can change this emitter in order to make it look like the electrical discharge is heading from one location to another?
