I have used Easy CD Creator (very old). Instant CD+DVD which was bundled with my A03 burner will also do this.
With Video CD, the menu is ‘number driven’. That is, each selection is given a number. Pressing this on remote selects the item. I sure there are lots of freeware out there.
Sorry I can not help any more.Regards

July 25, 2005 at 2:50 pm in reply to: help needed: capturing stereo material ends up being monoCertain Sony cameras are seen as mono by the Vidcap. It is not the player but the recorder that marks the tape as either mono or stereo. My larger DSR200 was seen by the Sony V5 as mono tape. My solution at the time was to switch to ScceneAlnalyserLive for capture. That software would definately capture in stereo for you.

Thanks for clearing that up. Not overwriting older version makes sense. I was going by my experience of going from v5.0b – 5.0d – V6.0a and then reverting to V5.0b.
My apologies for providing duff info.Regards

If you have to re-install V6.0b, you would lose the updated files. You can either re-install DVDA3 after installing V6.0b or
make a copy of
shared plug-ins>file formats>MCMPEG
and then restore it after installing V6.0bHopefully you do not have to re-install v6.0b

You know, I have paid for the V6/DVDA3 update but haven’t had the courage to install it. I must download 6.0b and dvda3.0a soon.As a matter of interest this what Sony support said last month.
I recently became aware of a couple issues with MPEG rendering. One of the issues does involve an error message stating that the reason for the error could not be determined during rendering. This issue is related to an issue in the Main Concept encoder and it should be fixed as soon as possible. I’m not sure if the fix will make it into the next Vegas update or not, so you may want to keep 5.0b around to do your CBR rendering for the time being. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes you. For what it’s worth, the issue is in the Main Concept encoder, so we will implement the fix as soon as we receive it from Main Concept. I did try to reproduce your problem under several different circumstances using a PAL DV .avi file but I had no luck, so hopefully the problem will be resolved in an update. Please let us know if you continue to have problems in the future.
As you see, the issue was not with Vegas coding but Mainconcept problem.
My problem is I feel quite secure with 5.0b but would like to switch to DVDA3 with its recent update.
May be that’s the way to start. I may just install DVDA3 and see how it goes with 5.0bRegards

Try different brand. I had lots of returns when I used Verbatim x8 although the burner was A105. The disks were fine if burned in A108.
I switched to Taito Yuden x8. Not returns yet but time will tell.

Something is definitely wrong this morning. My brain works.
I have just sorted the Multicam Tally for PAL domain.
Edward, all you need to do is to include PAL version of TallyRed.png etc. I have just resized tallyred.png to 720×576 in PSP and now it works fine.Regards

There is a known issue with MPEG2 renders with V5.0d and V6.0x. This may not be your problem but the issue affects MPEG2 DVD template (A/V) renders using CBR.
