you can grab the footage with intermediate codec then convert the clips with cinema tools at 24 or 25 or whatever you need (but you loose timecode )
    thats what I’m testing

Here in Italy (and europe) we are a bit worried because have a lot of customers that bought jvc and would like to edit/print at 25 and 24 and there is no edititng suite (that i know) that supports this hdv format,
also you cannot grab via firewire dvcpro hd 720p25 in its native format (whithout using blackmagic or kona via hd-sdi 422)

    hope in ibc

    hi all

I would like to know if someone have tried with fcp5 to capture with a aj-hd1200 a tape shooted at 720p25 via firewire, I haven’t found a way to let it recognize the 25fps frames, it always acquire at 59.94 and the frame rate converter doesn’t allow the 25 …

    any ideas …

    hi
you can workaround with https://www.dharmafilm.com/sebskytools/ that is a software that can add a timecode and tape id to a quicktime movie

    hi all
I’ m very interested on 2k workflow. The results in final cut are very amazing … but there is still a trouble … do someone knows if will be supported the embedded timecode
in dpx files … It will be great for 2k conforming in fcp …
