September 18, 2014 at 8:33 am in reply to: AE with png image sequences result in drifting frames.ohhhh, I missed to check the Frame rate Interpretation…was on 25 instead of 24. Thanks a lot for this advice. Have to know this to check this in case of using image sequences!!! Thanks!!!

I have a dng image sequence (coming out of ML). Importing on a PC to Premiere Pro cc 2014 leads to wrong colors (similar to a wrong white balane). Checked 1 file in Photoshop, everything with colors was OK! Importing the sequence to AE CC 2014 all colors are OK! So for me this is a workaround before to go back in Premiere, after rendering it in AE, but the origial problem is left to premiere. 🙁

this is exactly the case. As I wrote: ‘ I have added the stair in the surface option of route. ‘ So it works fine the stairs up and down in each spead everything ok, but the duck feets are intersecting with sharp edges of the stairs…not at each step, but on some steps… so I’m still looking for a solution which determines the detection automatically and prevents from intersecting….The ‘manual’ method is ok if no variations on the stair or character is valid…, but f.e. I vary the size of the feets, its hard to check each step manually…, so finally i leave it as it is, waiting for collission detection enabler sometime… 🙂

Thanks for your reply, i already use cmotion for it…and i.e. stairs could be a landsscape. I want prevent the character from stepping into the ground. In the simple case its a stair…but the character is a duck, so the feet are curving…- I want to achieve a collission detection which prevents from intersection. Like in the dynamics tags rigid/colllider function. But these are not working together with the cmotion. What I’m missing is an automatic collission detection mechanism…I think c4d dont has that.

i solved it by scaling the retina display.

Thank you for this advice! I checked, and I find in Adobe Media encoder CC on PC under MXF OP1 all DNX Avid codecs in ‘all’ bitrates… Good to know they are similar to Prores. On MAC it seems to be limited on XDCAMHD, i see no AVId’s… 🙂 But preferrably I work with media on the windows PC.

Hi, I’ve tried your post and i have the same problem with Apple Prores. I do not find this option in the format options. I just had the choice first to choose f.e. quicktime and then under format option i miss this prores 422. Using lastest version of AE CC.

Thanks, this is excellent you wrote in this article. The ipisoft people linked me to it as well.-
So with ipisoft basically at the bottom line is no problem. This works as designed very well.-
The real real problem left is the weight apply to the desired character in C4D. And this is a real work and not easy. The paintig of the weights is difficult, especially f.e. your charakter is a Mickey Mouse or something like this. Are there any guidelines how to use the weight tools in C4d in a manner to get what you want and not always being messed up after retargeting the ipisoft BVH. Which other Systems can be used for weight skin appliance?
