Hi,

I just took a closer look of your problem now.
If the background is a screenshot that you are making to move, there may be on other approach.
Is it a screenshot you made, and move with pan/crop or track motion?

That’s quite an old software, but you paid for it and should be able to use 🙂
So if you cannot activate, you can complain about. (I would do 😉
For a good example I have an old and outdated version of Photoshop – it still does the job very well, and can do much more than I actually need.
When Adobe has shut down the activation servers for this version, notified me where to download this Photoshop in a version that deos not require activation.
I think, this is the correct attitude, and everyone else should follow this practice.

I did the exact same 🙂
I’m addicted to Vegasaurs quick properties, and when with the update it disappeared at the very moment rolled back. 🙂
When I noticed that Vegasaur was updated to be compatible, went again for the Magix build to see if it as any better.
It is not.
It isn’t any worse either, so I keep it until V14 becomes available.

I think you should contact the author/developer of your extension about when an update is scheduled?

Hi,

…and if you play that timeline, you can hear what you recorded, and it sounds correctly?

If this is the case, you just need to set up audio in Windows, so that you hear what comes in.
In Windows 7 it is doable this way:
-right click the loudspeaker in the tray icon, and choose mixer.
-and again right click the speaker, and now choose recording devices
a list will apper with the devices you can use.
I think you’ll need something like “line in”, right click it, and choose properties.
The second tab is kind of “listen to”, there is a check box “listen to the divec”.
Check this box and apply, and on the mixer the device will appear, there you can set the volume.
Note, that this is the volume of how it sounds, not how it records 😉

I’m a bit unsure of the terms, because my Windows is not english, but I hope you can follow.

Hi,

Yes, build 545 is the current Magix build. Once I installed build 543, and Vegasaur disappeared. And only when Vegasaur 2.7 (which extension is Magix compatible) was available, took the build 545.
Apart from that “Sony” branding changed to “MAGIX”, I don’t see any change. No improvement, it seems to suffer the same set of bugs.
So you need to get build 453, which is the latest Sony build, on that your extension will work. This is true, until the developer updates it so that it becomes MAgix compatible.

I always keep my downloaded installers in a safe place offline for my use, so did I with Vegas pro 13 too.
If you can’t find it, I can upload it for you to my online storage temporarily.

thats great to hear!

Since everything on the web I can look up is redirected from Sony to Magix, or there’s a note about Magix acquisition, I think the registration went through Magix.
Note, that my opinion is without any scientific evidence 🙂

Hi, once I mentioned somewhere, but can’t remember…
So, use a text editor which can save to pdf. If you don’t have such, look for freeoffice.com 🙂
That way you have the conbenient way to input text.
Then you can easyly import the pdf to photoshop, and so have it converted to graphics.
Then the rest is intuitive 🙂

Hi,

you did it right.

To my eyes, the 2 files look identical.
And they are, apart from the fact, that the ffmpeg output starts 3 frames later.

I placed both file onto timeline, and synced (that’s how I know the 3 frames delay).
Then I substracted first original from ffmpeg, then ffmpeg from riginal.
Both resulted in a pure black screen, so I think they are identical in quality.
I suspect, the worse quality from ffmpeg you think/feel to see is some kind of placebo.
