    Hi,

I think they got busy recently.
I raised a ticket on 10. jun. and it was answered on the same day.
Then I raised a ticket on 03. aug. and got the first answer on 04. aug.
Then recently raised 2 tickets 10. sep. and one was answered 13.sep. and the other 15.sep.

I bet, they get hundreds of questions a day. If they sort of the problems regarding the transition, fix bugs still present in Vegas 13, then the number of question is going to fall back dramatically. Then th response time will be shorter too.
This is my guess and hope…

  • So, here I am.
I uploaded that video, it’s a screen capture, and shows, how I capture approximately 20 seconds audio from line-in.
Unfortunately, I could attach only my phone, so the sound quality is far from good. (It’s bad)
But the video demonstrates the steps to listen to what is recorded.
It also shows how to change the recording level, which is not the same as changing the monitoring level 🙂
Until 1:01 I didn’t here on the speakers what Audacitiy recorded. I switched the “listen to” on for line in, and at that moment the music was on the speaker as well. It’s visible also on the green bars of the Windows mixer 😉

    I hope I could help…

  • Oh well, that stereo mix is fine if you want to record what you hear from the PC.
But if I understood correctly, he wants the opposite: to hear what he is recording.
And for that the settings are correct I described. Later I ‘ll com back with pictures too 😀
You’re right, that a RIAA corrector is needed.

    Hi,

there’s something wrong then. Preparing a single movie dvd with compliant video/audio takes less than a minute at my side.
What activity on your machine do you see while preparing? CPU, Disk IO?
    Is your disk healthy? (S.M.A.R.T.)
An almost full totally fragmented disc can be a problem too, just as a dying disc which can barely read/write the surface.

And don’t you have menu pages with animated stuff?
That can make render significantly longer…

Well, I’m satisfied because 2 installs are enough for me. I have only one desktop and a notebook…

Those who need 3 or more system have sadly bad luck 🙁

    Hi,
I feed Nero eith the video_ts folder that DVDA creates.

When you prepare a disc, does Dvda something render for you?
    (which can be slow really)

So, finally a question seems to be answered.
Eric Dettman wrote me, that Magix Vegas 14 will allow 2 installations simultaneously.

    Hi,

They always responded so far however it took few days.
At the moment I’m waiting for an answer too, since 2 days.
