after you have it shown in the right size, move it with track motion instead of pan/crop.
Way much easier ?
Second option is, that you use track motion for both resizing and moving. I’d do this way.

I just read today that SCS serials are being transferred to Magix.
If I’m right, you will be able to register your copy of Syren any time.
Well, if not, then I’d be keep complaining continously.
You still can login to sonycreativesoftware.com, do login, and take a screenshot of the page of my account / my software – just in case!

The good example is Adobe in this regard.
Once I bought my copy of Photoshop CS2.
I still use it, and for the task I use it for, it is the best, I really don’t need anything better.
So the years passed, Adobe decided to shut down the servers responsible for activating CS2 products.
But before they did that, sent a notification, that they are going to do this, and a link from where I can download a version of my paid for software, which does no longer needs an activation, just a serial (another serial) which was writtten in that e-mail if I remember correctly.

I think this is the fair procedure, and Magix should follow this pattern if does not want to keep running activation servers for old products (or just release those old softwares for free).

I really don’t whish Magix to be a bad example!

I think it is there, you just dragged it off-screen.
(When on notebook, saometimes I also do unwanted mouse movements by accidentally touching the touchpad )
When you press that icon, the focus is on that window. Press alt-space, that brings up the standard window menu of windows. You may not see, as this menu may be still off-screen.
Choose “move” (or whatever it is called – my windows is not english) – I think this is the second menuitem, and press enter. After that you can move the window with the cursor keys. Try the method on a visible window first ?

Another option would be to reset Vegas defaults, press ctrl-shift while Vegas is starting.

With all respect, let me argue a bit.
If the output is required to be progressive, and we have an interlaced footage,
why would it be better not deinterlacing that media as a whole, just one single event?
Say we have 3 footages: A,B,C.
A is interlaced, B,C are progressive, project properties are carefully set to avoid any deinterlaceing.

Let’s edit a bit, and on the timeline we’ll have the events trimmed from the footages:
B1|C3|B2|C1|A1|B3|C2|B4|C4

Say, that looks fine, except A1 shows the “lines” so we have to apply a deinterlace plugin.
Then later we need to add additional edits, and it becomes
B1|C2|B2|C1|A1|B3|C2|C4|B5|A2

Can there be any reason why A2 should not be deinterlaced? (It is interlaced because it’s trimmed from “A” footage.)
So that’s why I think it’s better to deinterlace a media as a whole and it’s OK, how it works now.
In Vegas, if you set the desired deinterlace method in project properties, B and C stay untouched as they are already progressive. Deinterlacing will be done only on events trimmed from A and this is done automatically, the editor does not have to drag a plugin on A1 nor A2.

(It’s another question, that builtin deinterlacing was not the best, this is why I used to use Yadif.
But in Vegas14 there’s an adaptive deinterlacing too.)
