Burn it further, desaturate your highlights and shadows. Give it a slight glow. Charge the client extra for enhancing their material with a trendy bleach bypass technique. I’m only half kidding.

Get an external drive, firewire or USB2. 7200RPM. Keep your materials off the primary drive. Bump your ram up, if you can afford it. Your processor’s a bit underpowered. Vegas will run in your machine because it’s designed for minimum platforms. However, when it comes to rendering out the final project you will pay the price for not having the hardware. It will take a very long time to complete.
Premiere, Vegas, Edius and even FCP are entirely at the mercy of computer’s specs.

Did the output through Vegas. Worked as advertised.

The DSR-11 does not move when I run Premiere. So I close it and open Sony Vegas. The deck works when running Vegas capture. Close Vegas, then I open Premiere and the deck responds. Problem with the firewire protocol requiring a reset? Peculiar.

    Hi and thanks for answering.
I went through the menus again. Can see bars and hear tone through the deck. But, machine control is still not kicking in after rendering the audio.
    The deck sits unmoving.

    Hey Tip,
I’m getting ready to let go of my DA-MAX+. It’ll give you SDI/Component/Composite/SVHS/1394 i/o. I used it with the full DS
    in the Razor days. Interested?
