I have also been having the same difficulty. I was asked if I updated my OS software through software update and updated to OX 10.4.9 there is some stability issues. I have not been able to work around them so tomorrow start the fun process of wiping my HD and starting from scratch.

Your last question was not off.

I am running 5.1.4. The same thing happens if I try to start a new project, or even open an existing project. I am in NTSC Anamorphic and there is over 60% left on my main HD. My other three HD’s have at least 40% on each available. And last but not least, I have reset my permissions and that did not help either. Any other suggestions? I appreciate your assistance.

Perhaps it is not a FCP issue, but a MAC issue. I have had the very same thing happen in Photoshop/Illustrator. I was unable to retrieve anything of the project I had been working on on the morning of the deadline. The folders were just GONE!

    Tom,

I read the manual and it did not say anything about being able to record to Mini DV tape, but the cassette adapter has the little rec/save button on it so I thought I would throw it out there for someone to confirm before I start mastering to DVCPRO tapes.

    Thanks for you input.

Thank you for your assistance. I was able to pull the rose our of the background by using several technics.

I first matted the rose bud. I did the Pleasantville effect and then I was able to Chroma Key out the black and white. Luckily I did not lose anything on the rose.

I had to repeat the process for the green of the stem.

It took me about two hours and looks quite good.

    Blessings,
    Kimberly
