Thanks Jeremy – this won’t delete all my thumbnails will it and leave me without any? I presume it will generate all the ones it needs again, automatically?

And is it nothing to worry about, or perhaps signs of a bug I should be wary of? I’m about to copy the contents of my harddrive to another harddrive and don’t want to duplicate the problem.

No one has installed my version of FCP onto their computer. Also, I’ve been working off this same version for two years without this problem and have also been using it in this space for three months without this problem. How could they have installed it with my serial number without the CD? Are you talking about through a network?

– Should’ve said it’s a Promax DVBox 320GB and the DV cam I use instead of a deck is a Cannon Optura.

I use a Powerbook G4 and a DVBox 320 external harddrive. I work in FCP HD.
