learn the basics then put those together to make this effect.
all it would take is the basics .. id advise watching some the tutorials on video copilot .. basic training section .. then youl get some ideas how to create this .also watch the youtube video of the haddoooken . or how ever its spelt .. one of the most popular youtube after effects videos .. if you cant find it . then you dont deserve it

this sucks so much because ive spent the last 3 weeks on a project that i cant render out .. easily 60 hours plus on this project . tons of rotoscoping etc.. lots and lots of work . only to not be able to render it out . ive tried rendering the video in 3 diff pieces .. for a 10 sec piece and just before its done render comp shuts down .. ive got a empty comp case next to me that i punch and hit with a hammer when my working comp is acting up.. but i dont think its gonna last to much longer after this ae project

Even if they add 3d elements ppl would complain its not enough 3d options etc.. they are trying to stay in the realm the program was made for … but i do agree i wish i could bring 3d models into ae..

i dont think he is trying to create the actual effect but he just wants a easy way to make it .. the easy way would be to download video co pilot old film . tutorial . in the downlaod comes a pre matted 8 mm old film video that you could throw over your video and get the exact effect your asking for .. now that is the cop out way .. but i think thats what you were asking for

i jsut found out i need open gl 2.0 i only have 1.5 so i gotta get a new video card i guess .. i just got a new one about 3 months ago . but was a impulse buy .. now i gotta go out and get the rite one .. thanks for replying moldyboot

im on a windows xp . some programs over write previous installations and upgrade when a newer version is installed . thats what i was worrying about. and trying to avoid .

thanks so much mike . i was thinking thier had to be a script or expression to simplify this . i know xyz space in 3d an all that but i thought thier had to be something simliar to what you posted.. thanks for the help, i really appreciate it !!
