The client has just given a list of standard deliverables.
HD 1.85 is 1920×1038 so that would mean 21 pixels of black on top and bottom.
HD 2.35 is 1920×818 which is 131 pixels of black on top and bottom
Can anyone back this up?

I’m using FCP6 and Glue Tools is there anything within the software that might help also?

OK after a quick call to tech support. I found there was a HD Link Pro Utility that not only is used for LUTs but enables full screen viewing with the HDLink Pro.

OK that is a problem. But seems to be working at 2048×1080 @ 23.98 and can manage for the moment.
Can u shed any light as to why the picture is not filling the complete 30″ though. Have u guys at BM tested the HDLink Pro on a Dell 30″ and got full screen picture? Have u got full screen picture on an Apple 30″?

OK so maybe a little more info is called for! I’m using FCP6 my sequence is 2048×1556.
So after a lot of experimenting if i change my sequence to 2048×1080 it seems i can monitor 2k but it is only 2048×1080 at 23.98. The monitor will not read however 2048×1080 at 24.
Another big issue is the picture does no fill the screen. It fills around 2/3rds of the screen which is not aesthetically pleasing to clients.
Is the 30″ apple going to fix these issues?

Ok so the day has arrived i have the Kona3, the 2x 2.8 Quad Core, Dell 30″ and the HD Link Pro. Only issue is I can’t get the Dell monitor to view 2k images. I can put HD 1920×1080 on there but not 2k. When i can get it to show a 2k image it is just interference. Any ideas???

Basically we are going to shop 2 completed eps. But for now i am going to strip down the eps remove advertising/sponsors and put 10secs black holes for the advertising. I wont be putting anything to tape until it is sold and we get the specs the network requires.

Yeah we will be shopping domestically and internationally so i am thinking it would be prudent to atleast get started on getting all 38 eps ready for output. So when the call comes i’m not pulling all nighters.

if the playhead is offscreen i just double tap the space bar, very cheap but works..
