    I have exported with

    file>export>Quicktime Movie – Current Settings
    file>export>Quicktime Convert – 10bit Uncompressed 4:2:2

The original footage is 24fps 2k DPX sequences that are in a HD 23.98psf sequence

We capture and edit in HDV then use the Kona3 to down convert to D-Beta on the fly. Saves us a lot of time rendering and we find it gives us better results. Our situation may be different as we frame our shots 4:3 in a 16:9 space so we just have to edge crop on our outputs.

Ah thx Robert works great, i actually did the similar work flow on a previous project just thought it was a little time consuming but yes definitely worth the extra time at this stage. Instead of using AJA DPX to QTT i imported via Gluetools then exported from my timeline 10bit RGB LOG.

So Gary, u are just using DPX straight in your timeline? I use GlueTools also with a 7TB MAXX RAID via eSata and it is reading at 330mb/s and writing at 355MB/s hmm i guess i really am not configuring properly.

Also Gary, i really appreciate your experience on this, as an editor learning this stuff and experimenting really takes time out of my editing so i am absolutely thankful for the help u and others provide.

Mostly import issues, as in no importing – Bob has been helping best he can which is great. Regardless off the issues thought would be a handy filter as it would be adjustable by eye as opposed to on import.

Yeah using GlueTools to get the DPX sequences into FCP at the moment just a few technical issues associated with the import converter, just trying to find a quick work around till the issues are resovled.
