a week later and though i’ve played quite a bit with the tv sim, i just can’t seem to get the real analogue look. i’ll go with what i’ve got, though i really would prefer to find an old tv with rotating chanel selector (ah, that’s progress for you).

if anyone out there has such a tv, and some spare time (ha!), could you record me 10sec of chanel switching – mpg would be fine – after all, who’d notice any extra artifacts?

will have a look at jalbum – have phot cs, but web gallery keeps coming up with an error, and having just reinstalled and got the same error i’m loathed to try troubleshooting since all else is working fine and this web page thing really isn’t that important in the scheme of things. in fact, my new years resolution is to stop playing with things i don’t need!!!!

i usually keep my scanning to a max of 800dpi – but i was wondering how the hi-res pics (3008 x 2000) directly off, say your nikon, did?

do you use straight as jpg or convert to png?

edward – i was thinking more of dedicated digital as opposed to slr with changeable lenes, etc.,

meanwhile, that opens up another avenue –

what’s the maxmimum size digital photo i can work with in v6?

when i had my studio we regularly worked with 3k to 4k images in after effects…..

have scenalyzer, and yes, agree totally why would you bother with anything else…. however, client just handed me a tape and said vo’s are at the end of it, and since he had tc’s and was raring to go, and i was already heavily edited and still working in vegas i thought…..

have to stop thinking…..

great to read you knocked all the crap (hi8, vhs, etc.,) into shape on the first submission – i still remember having a game of ping-pong with sbs over 30sec of vhs (admittedly pretty bad) iin a 30min doco….

the timecode thing really, really, really, pisses me off no end. most of my work nowadays is cutting from edl’s, and it’s such a PAIN – are you listening sony!?

will try and pop in on my next trip to the smoke…. (pollution?) if i can afford the tolls…
