    hi rob,

sorry too late – deleted job and clients gone off with original tape. however, it wouldn’t have been much use simply because you couldn’t record the error! it only showed up on the timeline, couldn’t get it recorded (hence the original problem). it was in the picture, not audio stream.

we’ll live in hope of protecting our work one day,

    doh!

guess you’re right – it was a passing whimsy. but it’s still interesting nevertheless. out of curiosity i took the two frames and moved them around on the time lime – bingo, they worked perfectly as copy inhibit everytime….

    all the best

    hi chris….

well i’m a happy veggie since they fixed the tc entry problem….

but i agree with you, though not ‘disasterous’, the collapsing tree is very annoying, and presumably pretty simple to fix.

that said, i’m still waiting for media manager to manage my media….

my wife, my bank manager (rather atm), my next door neighbour…..

i’m not paranoid, i know they’re out to get me!

in passing for the aussies: (feel free to adapt to your government)

Prime Minister John Howard, Federal Treasurer Peter Costello, and
Industrial Relations Minister Kevin Andrews are flying on the
Executive Airbus to a gathering in Canberra when Howard turns to
Costello and says, chuckling, “You know, I could throw a $1000
bill out the window right now and make someone very happy.”

Costello shrugs and replies, “Well, I could throw ten $100 bills
out the window and make ten people happy.” Not to be outdone,
Andrews says, “Well I could throw a hundred $10 bills out the
window and make a hundred people happy.”
The pilot rolls his eyes and says to his co-pilot, “Such arrogant
arses back there. Hell, I could throw all three of them out the
window and make millions of people happy.”

    hi mike 😉

it’s so nice that i didn’t have to wait for a major upgrade, ie. ver 7. and being able to do this basic tc entry stuff was so, so, so, so frustrating – i just can’t begin to tell you how happy i am…..

back to some more number crunching,

    all the best,

    thanks gary,

you’re quite right, i really do need the pal tc entry fix…..

    however, having never done this before (i usually install seperately, then delete old version);

    a. will my plugins remain in place and registered (ie. excalibur)

    b. prefs and the like?

    c. any effect on dvd3?

    thanks as ever,

    can i install seperately?

since 6c is working fine, but i’m really in need of pal tc entry, i’d like to install seperately. if so, what about my plugings?

sorry so short – in the middle of project.

  • had the same problem – simply create in photoshop and export as .png with transparency….
