I have a had a similar problem in 60i. It was brought to my attention by a client who complained about it on a diagonal line while using OIS handheld ( which I don’t think had anything to do with it.) I saw it again while shooting buses for an industrial.
I then compared to a DVX100A which did not seem so bad. 100A seemed similar in 60i or progressive.
The HVX seemed noticeably worse in 60i than in progressive.
Serious issue to me because I am using this as an SD camera even more than HD.
I also had setting at Thick & Detail at aprox 0.
I have not had time for a careful test & I have asked friends to confirm.
You are the first guys who have seen this as well.
Have you compared to other SD min DV cameras to see if this is just typical minDV or not?
So far at this point I find it a very hard sell. But time will tell.
People need to fget used to the workflow.
I haven’t shot a single job in HD yet – all miniDV.
I take off my shoe.
I pound it on the podium.
And in the immortal words of Nikita Sergeevich Khrushchev, announce that:
“We (P2 workers of the world) will bury you, Tony Salgado!”
I miss you Tony!
But I am a little surprised you restrained yourself from making disparaging comments about the “Pee 2” card on this forum.
You’re showing great maturity.

I guess I should have mentioned that I already have 2 – 4 GIG cards.
My question is whether to purchase an 8 GIG that I ordered months ago or wait either for price drops or to spend a little less than twice as much for a firestore that holds much more storage.
I think what you tell me about availablity of the firestore soon suggests waiting for that instead of getting the 8 GIG now.
Of course I can always go ahead with the purchase and then sell the 8 GIG pretty easily (I imagine) within the next month or so.
Sure, I realise you can shoot double system, its just one more hassle for a producer and not always so easy to accomplish especially if cameras are not continuous. Way easier to jam sync time code and go.
