GOT MY CAMERA GOT MY NOTE BOOK GOT MY G-RAID
and will be heading out on 3 different Location productions
and need the best possible carry-on friendly hard cases.

I have been using a Pelican for my Powerbook and G-raid
work great and can carry-in on the plane…

I just haven’t seen any specific Hrd Shell (carry-on size) case for
the HVX 200 yet Maybe someone can direct me to a case
made for or that is working for you….. 🙂

    Thanks for you Time

Why not get another Pelican for the HVX. Anything above a 1550 ought to do the trick.

I just took delivery today of a KATA MC-61, on Jan’s recommendation. It’s not a hard-shell, but still seems pretty stiff and reinforced somewhere. My requirements were that it be small enough as a carry-on (not checked luggage), and that I can throw it in the overhead. But this thing seems a bit bulky to me… Jan, are you sure this will fit in an overhead??

    Ya,

The 1550 is it (the max for carry-on)

I’m just thinkin it will take some doin’ to get the sunshade and lens
cover in there with the 1/2″ to spare… Ya know…..

    Maybe somthin’ else..

    Thanks for your input.

I’ve got a portabrace CS-DV4U – its pretty good. Plenty of space but fine for overhead.

I don’t have a matte box, but there is plenty of room

I took the MC-61 on a plane and it fit in the overhead. I was concerned though, as it does seem really big and I thought the flight attendant at the door might stop me and make me check it, but they let me through.
